Is it ribbon and bow time???

Sydney's hair is almost long enough to put bows and pony tails in :)

John and Kim (Bosman) Ray's Wedding 9-20-08

Saturday we celebrated the marriage of John and Kim Ray. We had a great time celebrating with them on their special day. Since they had a late morning wedding and afternoon reception we met them in Grand Haven at night to continue the celebration.

End of week #2

Rylee survived 2 weeks of kindergarten and still had a smile on her face. Tomorrow she is going on her first field trip with her class. Week #3 . . . they are headed to the farmer's market.

movie night

We played cards with the Winns and Jen & Alex DeWitt this past weekend. The girls thought having movie night 2 nights in a row was pretty cool!

Sydney wasn't as excited.

Hanging out with my friends

Heathe and I caught Sydney, Sage and Oreo all looking out the front door a couple weekends ago. It was so cute to see them all sitting side-by-side.

First Day of Kindergarten

Rylee boarded bus #30 this morning with a big smile on her face. Heathe, Sydney and I were at the bus stop with her. I was snapping some pics and Rylee politely told us, "You can leave now". Heathe and I politely told her that we really wanted to see her get on the bus on her first day. She agreed, but I think tomorrow she is on her own (scary). Hopefully Kylee will pick her up and they can ride their scooters to the bus stop together tomorrow without us tagging along!

Labor Day 2008

On Labor Day we invited Kelly and Carter Meeuwsen to my mom's pool for one last day of swimming. Kelly invited her sister-in-law Kate and her nieces to the pool too. The girls had a lot of fun swimming together. Rylee was trying to give Karinda and Kylee some swimming lessons :)

Labor Day Weekend - Stoney Lake

Kathy and Mike Bursley invited us up to Stoney Lake for the day. Rylee had fun tubing with Brooklyn and Caleb. Sydney fell asleep on the boat ride while the kids were tubing. What a fun day in the sun and the shade (Sydney). Rylee even tried kayaking . . . she did good and enjoyed it.

A Few Days at Murray Lake

The Yonkers invited us up to Murray Lake for a few days again this year. The kids always have a great time playing in the water, building sand castles, tubing, fishing and trying to catch minnows.

Sydney's Starting to Stand

Sydney refuses to crawl. She gets around by scooting on her butt. I'm tempted to put swiffer pads on her bottom so she can clean my kitchen floor in the process! She will stand along side something if you help her. Sometimes she forgets and falls, but with some assistance she is happy to get right back up on her two feet :)

Lazy Day at the Beach

We've been to the beach a few times this summer, but the last time we went the waves were huge. Heathe taught Rylee how to handle the waves without falling over :) This was also Ken, Judy and Grandma Shirley's first time at the beach on Lake Michigan. Next time they are going to take their swim suits along!!!
